Msc. in Management, Technology, and Economics

The MSc in Management, Technology, and Economics (MTEC) at ETH Zurich trains graduates with a technical background in engineering, natural sciences, mathematics or computer science to take on leadership roles in industrial, consulting and technology-driven organisations. Over four semesters the programme combines core coursework in general management, strategy, operations, economics and finance with electives from ETH's Department of Management, Technology and Economics, a mandatory industrial internship of at least ten weeks, and a six-month Master's thesis. Its distinctive structure builds management and economic literacy on top of an existing technical foundation rather than starting from a business background, with each student assigned a D-MTEC professor as academic tutor. It is designed for STEM graduates who want to move from purely technical roles into management, strategy and technology leadership positions.
