The Msc. in Spatial Planning and Development at Henley Business School trains students to become proficient spatial planners and real estate development professionals, equipped to organise, manage and negotiate development schemes from both private and public sector perspectives. The programme combines core knowledge in planning law, governance, sustainable urban design and development viability with applied, real-world client-brief projects and a week-long international field trip comparing planning approaches across different countries. It is accredited by both the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and graduates go on to roles at firms such as CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, JLL, Knight Frank and Savills, as well as public sector planning bodies. The course is open to graduates of any undergraduate discipline who want to build a career in planning, development or real estate, via either the one-year full-time route or the two-year part-time route.
