Msc. in Finance

The MSc in Finance at Stockholm School of Economics trains students for careers in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, asset management, and trading, with graduates going on to work in financial centres such as Frankfurt, London, New York, Shanghai and Stockholm. The two-year programme opens with a shared foundation semester covering modern capital markets, valuation, fixed income and capital structure, before students choose one of two specialisations — Corporate Finance or Investment Management — at the end of the first semester. Elective courses let students go deeper into value investing, restructuring, private equity and sustainable finance, and the programme culminates in a Master's thesis typically written in pairs under faculty supervision. It is designed for students who want a rigorous, quantitatively grounded finance education with strong placement into global financial institutions.
